A year ago today I took the giant leap and bought myself the best birthday present ever; my tiny house! This last year in my tiny has been greater than I ever imagined. When I bought my tiny I had no clue how significantly it would impact my whole life. I'm so thankful for my tiny lifestyle and all the amazingly awesome travel I can do since I'm not working my butt off just to afford a place to live in Seattle. Living tiny is definitely not for everyone but it sure suits this lady! #tinyhouseonwheels#tinyhouse#livetiny#tinyhouseliving#tinyliving#bestbirthdaypresent#Seattle
Benicia in the 1980’s was a blue-collar town that included military families who stayed after the decommissioning of US Army’s Benicia Arsenal & Barracks and aging Berkeley hippy artists ... I always enjoyed the “characters” who would congregate at the ramshackled “French Bakery” at the water’s edge near Benicia Point ... I had not been back to Benicia since I left in early 1989 until yesterday ... I am still trying to process it all ... I do have to say it filled my heart to see it transformed but still holding onto the sense of community and sense of place that made it special to me all those 30 years ago ... for one thing ... as I walked down the 11 blocks of 1st Street (its Main Street) every person, child, and animal I passed greeted me and engaged me in conversation ... this rarely happens to me in any other place in this USA except in NOLA ... and this video captures the Avant Community Garden that takes up one full block of prime real estate on 1st Street ... #unearthingOŹtour #12citiesin12months#oliviézufall #nancyhannibal#seattle#sanfrancisco#vancouver#petoskey#detroit#burlington#montreal#lafayette#cork#paris#12cities12months#Benicia#avantgarden
Our @soundtransit PRIDE team co-hosted a group PRIDE Ride yesterday rolling 20 deep to @seapinebrewing after work, stopping by @derekbruno's "Exterior Intervention 1: angle of incidence" along the way.
